Station 1: Located on Route 27 at Brookdale Street
This station is the Fire Department Adminsitrative Headquarters, the Kingston Emergency Management Agency
(MEMA) office and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Apparatus assigned to this station include, Engine1, Quint 1, Forest Fire truck - #75, Marine
1, (a 17 foot rescue boat,) a Special Hazards equipment trailer, Command vehicle - Car 3 and one
Advanced Life Support Ambulance staffed by one Captain and 2 Firefighter Paramedics.
Pembroke Street station primary response area
is from the Rt 80/Rt 3A intersection north to the Pembroke/Duxbury Line and West to the Plympton Line.
Important sites in this area include:
- A 120 bed nursing home,
- A 124 unit Assisted Living Complex,
- Two public schools,
- The MBTA commuter Line,
- Two public housing complexes,
- Three shopping centers,
- Numerous apartment buildings
- Several major outdoor recreation areas.
- The Jones River, Silver Lake and several ponds
- Major transportation routes including the commuter rail line, Route 27, Route 106, and Route 3A north
of Route 80 .
Apparatus assigned to Station 1 - Pembroke Street
Engine 1: 2004 Pumper; 1500 gallon per minute pump; 750 gallon water tank; 50 gallon foam tank(s). 15KW 110/220
volt electric generating system; Jaws of Life; Advanced Life Support (ALS) medical equipment, Thermal Imaging camera.
Primary mission is structural fire suppression, rescue and first response EMS.


Quint 1: 1994 Pumper/Ladder truck: 1250 gallon per minute (gpm) pump; 500 gallon water tank; 20 gallon foam tank;
various sized fire attack and water supply hose up to 4 inch; 75 foot hydraulic extension ladder with 1000 gpm automatic nozzle;
Jaws of Life; forcable entry and rescue tools; Thermal Imaging camera; various manual ladders from 10 foot to 35 feet; 7.5
KW electric generating system : elevated, portable and fixed floodlights, electric cord reels; Primary mission
is initial structural fire attack, rescue and fire suppression.

Car 3: 1999 Ford Expedition. Equipped with advanced life support medical equipment, Incident Command (ICS)
console with advanced radio and cellular communications, portable fire extinguishers and forcable entry tools. Primary
function is to act as the Incident Command vehicle and "chase car" for the Shift Commander .

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance 1: 2000 Ford equipped with the highest level of emergency medical equipment
allowed by State Law.

Brush truck 75: 2000 Ford 4x4 : 250 gallon per minute pump; 400 gallon water tank; 20 gallon foam tank.
Primary responsibility is brush fire suppression and off road operations.
