In Massachusetts, the second Sunday of June is designated as "Firemens Sunday".

Throughout the State, Fire Departments take time to memorialize there brothers who have answered their last alarm.

Weather a brother has paid the supreme sacrafice and died in the line of duty or answered his last alarm and gone on to eternal peace is not important. The fact that time is taken to remember them is.

Each Kingston fire station has a memorial area maintained by firefighters.

In 1951, the Town Meeting voted to designate the triangle at the corner of Main and Summer Street as the "firemens memorial lot".

The memorial at Station 1, Pembroke Street , has the bell used in 1880's to summon firefighters when their was a fire. The memorial stone is dedicated to all firefighters.

The memorial at the Station 2 Smith Lane is a "deluge nozzle" used to spray 1000 gallons of water per minute on a major fire. The stone is in memory of all firefighters.
