Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you doing this?

I thought that some people may not help simply because they do not have enough free time.  So I thought I would volunteer my time to ship items on behalf of our community.  It also doesn't help that the USPS does not make it easy to send packages overseas to the troops.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  I’m here to help get our troops as much support as possible, and I am here to help in this local effort in anyway that I can.

How long are you going to be collecting items?

As long as our soldiers are over there fighting for our country, I'll be here doing what I can to help.

Are you associated with Anysoldier.com?

No, I do use the website often though and support them in their efforts.

Doesn't the government give the soldiers everything they need?

I took this question and answer off of Anysoldier.com:

“First, define 'need'. Does your employer give you everything you need to do your job? Then why did you buy that briefcase, that laptop, that day planner, that space heater, that lava lamp? You get the picture, you got those things to make your job easier or better.”

So what items are you looking to send or what can I send?

I have compiled a list of items, click here, that have been requested by the troops, been suggested by people who have contacted me or was suggested at Anysoldier.com.  By no means is my list perfect, but I am doing my best to update it all the time.  For the complete and more updated list of items, please visit Anysoldier.com.
