I have one 10-year old son, attend a fundamental Baptist church, with an active ministry toward single parents with children as a result of death or divorce. Love music (Christian, classical, jazz and oldies!), romance, travel, hobbies are model trains, video production, antique collecting. Own my home and have a great job. God has been so good to us, and I praise him continually.

b'-'57', m-'8/29/86', w-'11/29/01'. Lost my husband Tom at age 49 very suddenly of a heart attack. We had no human children, but canine parents to 2 great golden retrievers, Duffy-m-'97', Kelly-f-'99'. R.N. since '78', currently employed as a Triage Nurse at local Veterans Medical Center. Certified Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, and Aromatherapy practitioner. Hobbies/Interests: Polymer clay doll artist and general crafter, active member of numerous golden retriever organizations, dabble in dog showing (Duffy was supposed to be my Westminster Champ-but turned into my sofa Champ). Roman Catholic by birth, but traveled the religion super highway over the years. A few years back returned to the church of my birth; a place I know where I need to be and am needed there as well. At this posting I am a widow of only 8 days which already feels like an eternity. I know that God will not abandon me, but my faith is most certainly being tested right now to the highest degree. Would love to hear from others who would like to share some of their own experiences in how God has supported them in their very early stages of grief.
