Magazines
I got my last issue of FCEK and I'm not resubscribing. Maybe it's
me, maybe I'm just stuck in the past. The patterns in magazines just don't do it for me anymore. With all the
new yarn that's out, I think the patterns focus more on fiber these days (I'm just guessing). I miss the patterns that
focused more on design. Intarsia was very big back in the late 70's early 80's. Knitting magazines had at least
a couple of intarsia patterns in each issue. I think I'm going to look at the magazines on the newsstand for a while,
and just buy the issues that have something I like in them. If I find myself buying the same magazine a lot, then I'll
subscribe to it.
I took the day off today. There's a lot of crap going on at work
these days, and I just couldn't bring myself to go in. So, I'm going to wash my car, go food shopping (I've been really
depressed lately, and in need of some peanut M&M's), and I'm going to spend the rest of the day knitting.

New old blog
Sorry, my blog has been down the past few days. I was very upset
with Verizon and I was moving my blog. I have Verizon for my DSL connection, my e-mail, and my web space. I get
great service with my DSL and e-mail, but the web space was nothing but trouble.
Right after I deleted my blog, they said they were working on the problems
and they added blogs to their web stuff (I've been using regular web space for my blog). Since I'm paying for all this
stuff anyway, I figure I should give it a chance. So, I'm still here, but with a different look. I also decided
as long as I'm starting over, I'd like to simplify. I had a lot of stuff on my old blog, so I'm going to use this chance
to clean house. You know when you first start blogging you tend to join everything that comes along. Next thing
you know, you have so much stuff on your blog that it gets too busy.
Anyway, I finished the Fun Fur scarf. I'm not sure if I posted it
before I deleted my blog, so here it is again.
