Interests
I have a lot of hobbies; a few of the most important
are listed below:
Networking
- Too much to put down right here. Click on "Networking" to get more
information.
Sound
Engineering - I've been learning about sound equipment since I was
about fifteen years old. I've been buying up as much as I can for the
past six years and I've acquired enough to run my own home studio. I've
recorded a few different local artists down there in addition to four
of the five bands I've played drums in.
Music
- I've always been interested in music, but I really started to get
into it when I was about 10 years old. I've been playing drumset for
over a decade, clarinet for seven years, piano for eight, guitar for
three and harmonica for five. I've also played chello and organ at
times. My influences cover a really odd range of genres: everything
from hard metal to alternative to Kentucky bluegrass to classical and
symphonic. Some of my influences are listed below:
Metal: Nothingface, 40 Below Summer, Mudvayne, System of a
Down, Disturbed, No One, Taproot, Godsmack, Korn and many others
Alternative: Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Perfect Circle,
Lacuna Coil
Rock: too many to name
Classical: Gustav Holst, Felix Mendelssohn, Carl Orff,
Ottorino Respighi, George Frideric Handel, Hamish MacCunn, Antonin
Dvorak, Antonio Vivaldi, Arcangelo Corelli, Michael Praetorious, Jean
Sibelius, Luigi Boccherini and many many others
Rocky Horror Picture Show - I've been the sound tech and a performer
for one of the shadow casts in my area since the early spring of 2004.
I first went to see the movie on April 26th, 2003 at one of the
midnight viewings, and loved every minute.
Swimming
- I've been swimming since I was three years old. I was on the swim
team of my middle school for five years and the swim team of my high
school for two.
Stunt
Biking - I got into this around the time I started high school and I've
been doing it on and off ever since.
