Geography and Climate

Overall, Arcadia has a cold climate which becomes a little milder in the summer. The winter is usually bitterly cold- ranges from 0 to 30 F (-18 to -1 C)- depending on location, and almost the entire continent recieves snow at some point. The fall and spring seasons are relatively short but the temperature becomes more bearable-- 30 to 55 F (-1 to 13 C). The summer season is also short but brings with it much more comfortable temperatures-- 55 to75 F (13 to 24 C). Much of the cold is thought to be because of two windstreams high up in the air that originate from somewhere in the north. They cross at the northernmost point of the continent and then flow out east and west of the Gorgoth mountains. Because of the short growing season most of the crops are augmented with magic to give farmers a longer growing season.
