The lions on this page and the one(s) before were a year long relationship. I would travel from Staten Island to
the Bronx Zoo taking a car, ferry, subway and my feet to the Zoo. Many of my trips were to no avail with the lions.
Then during the Winter I went back and we "bonded." I love these pictures because they seemed to have such a sense of
humor that day, and it seemed they were definitely into sticking their tongues out at all of us.
