10/7/05-- I just found out that the required 350 applications have been
received ! Sometime in the near future, the Shenandoah National Park commemorative license plate will be available @DMV.
I can't believe it has taken over 3 years to achieve ! Have you ever noticed all the specialty license plates ? There's one
for bowlers, butterflies, fox hunting, home education, Natural Bridge....there's even one for Parrotheads ! There's a
license plate for Tobacco Heritage & for Unlocking Autism. There's one in development for Friends of Tibet ! Shenandoah
Nat'l Park is the most beautiful & special thing the state of Virginia has to offer, if you ask me, so I'm glad it will
finally be honored on a Virginia state license plate.
