I am just a regular guy with a running problem who enjoys helping
people. During the spring of 2007, I was captured by an idea - what if I could combine the two? How
could I run and help people at the same time?
So, in January of 2008,
I began Running For Others . RFO
was founded based on a strong faith in God and in people. I honestly believe
that if given the opportunity and the proper motivation, there is tremendous good that people can do in the world. I’m just using running to give people the opportunity to make an impact by donating to some great
causes.
There is a small passage
in the Old Testament in the book of Micah in which the writer asks “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
To act justly – to do the right thing.
To love mercy – to take care of and help people.
To walk humbly –
understand that it’s not all about me.
Or as the great philosopher
Winnie The Pooh once said, “Some people care too much. It’s called
love.”
So that's my story. 12 races, 12 months, 3 great causes.
