David and Goliath #2

Here is my latest acquisiton, a blue 1958 Goliath 1100 sedan, my second Goliath now, along side the
1960 Hansa 1100 sedan, which I have had now for 9 years. The seller finally brought the
price down to a ridiculously low amount, so I couldn't pass it up. It is a low mileage, rust fee southern car,
very solid!! I just got the car running as of June '08, and it runs pretty well.
The water pump leaks like crazy, and it needs brakes, and I am now in the process of removing
and redoing the gas tank. As you see below, the body is in great shape!

The car only shows 19,000 miles, and has had one paint respray in it life. It came to me with those funky
parking light assemblies from a late '30's GM car, but I've recently found some used and NOS Goliath lenses and assemblies.
I've also collected a nice grill center piece, and some better grill and bumper parts that will eventually go on the car.

Interior floors are totally solid. Original black rubber mats are in perfect shape. The cloth weave
upholstery is however, pretty bad; dry rotted and torn.
Stay tuned for more restoration pics coming in 2009!!!
