A native of Brazil, Doutor (aka Adenilson Jose dos Santos) has practiced capoeira for over two decades. Originally a student of Mestre Bandeira, Doutor taught classes for young adults, and a highly innovative class for adults over fifty for ten years in Brazil. Doutor has won various competitions including first place in the 1989 Song Competition for Original Music Compostion, and in 1990 placed first in the prestigious Berimbau de Oro Competition (lightweight devision) in Sao Paulo.
