We Believe...
- the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative
written Word of God (2 Timonthy 3:16).
- there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, Psalm 90:2).
- in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit (John 4:24), perfect
in holiness (Habakkuk 1:13), wisdom (Romans 11:33), power (Jeremiah 32:17), and love (1 John 4:8); that He concerns Hiself
mercifully in the affairs of men (Matthew 10:29-31); that He hears and answers prayers (Matthew 6:6-13); and that He saves
from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:10-11).
- in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1, John 20:28), His
virgin birth (Luke 1:34), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), His miracles (Acts 2:22), His bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians
15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), His imminent return to this earth in power and glory to
rule for a thousand years (Revelation 19:11-20).
- in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict
the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement (John 16:8), and to regenerate and sanctify all who believe in Christ (Titus
3:5); we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:16), by whose indwelling the Christian
is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14), and that the Holy Spirit is an abiding Comforter (John 16:7), Teacher (John
14:26), and Guide (John 16:13) to the believer.
- in the empowering of the Holy Spirit on the believer for the work
of the ministry (Acts 1:8), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to every believer that asks (Luke 11:13)
- that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still available today but
must be exercised in accordance to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 14:32-33).
- in the absoulute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit upon
man for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of
faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace through faith alone, can one be saved. (John 3:16-19; Romans
3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
- in the resurrection
of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life everlasting, and they that are not unto
the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
- the church is the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23).
- in healing of the human body, mind, and soul in answer to believing
prayer and if it is the will of God (James 5:14-16)
- in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church (Revelation 3:10; Thess 4:15-18),
and the second coming of Christ with His saints to rule on the earth for one thousand years (Revelation 19:11-20).
- that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church:
1) The Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:26), and 2) Baptism (Matthew 28:19). We believe in Baptism by immersion and Communion
open to all believers.
