Quotes and Proverbs
These are just little quotes I've come up with from time to time.

Feb. 22, 1999 - "The pieces of the puzzle furthest away from the center make the border."

Meaning, no matter how irrelevant something may seem, it's still an important part of the picture.

Mar. 29, 2001 - "The Light can only shine brightly in the Dark."

I've been saying this for a while, and I've more or less adopted as my tagline. It stresses that there must be balance in all things. One cannot know Peace without understanding the concept of War. One cannot have Order without first experiencing Chaos. One cannot not have all that is Light without first touching the Darkness, so that the contrast between the two is properly appreciated.

Mar. 30, 2001 - "Hey, you can afford to risk your life, you got it for free!"

I said or heard this quote in a dream once, wrote it down somewhere, then forgot about it. I found it one night while cleaning my desk, and decided to put it up here.
