Our goal as club members is to educate our community here at school in the value of recycling and saving energy.

October 5, 2007

Dear Woodfield Eagle 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders,

Would you like to be one of 20 official   Off-A-Lot club members? Our goal as club members is to educate our community here at school in the value of recycling and saving energy. Members will be selected by Mrs. Wilson. The previous years members are accepted back automatically. The remaining students are accepted based on the letter of interest they submit by Friday, October 12th.

We will have our first meeting on October 17th during lunch/recess. We will create our club rules and expectations. Then we will learn about where energy comes from, why it is important to recycle, and save energy. You will be involved in creating posters for around the school, decorating the recycling bins, and creating tops for the recycling bins to encourage proper recycling.

We are going to have a lot to learn and do this year. I hope you decide to join us. You will be part of a group of students that will make a difference in the lives of the students, staff, and families of our school, Woodfield Elementary.
