PROJECT IDEAS

Based on the Native American research completed in class, students will create an artifact box that will contain their writing piece and several artifacts/models that represent the topics researched.  The writing piece will be completed in school, but the artifacts/models and box should be completed at home.  Artifact boxes must be finished and brought to school no later than December 22nd so that students can present them to the class.

Artifact Box Requirements:

1.                    Boxes should be about 12” x 9 “x 2” (please no boxes too big for students to bring to school on their own).  Gift, pizza, or pastry boxes work great!

2.                    Boxes should have a label on top of the lid stating the Native American Region, student’s name, and a brief description of the contents (artifacts)

3.

Artifacts/models should be made by the students, not purchased, to reflect the topic researched (clothing, shelters, tools, etc.).
