The Club was able to place a featured announcement about our new website in the July 17th, '05 issue of The
Star Democrat. It provided information about the Club and membership. The Club attracts new members through such
publicity and through active recruiting by current members. By keeping all 70 of our allowable membership slots filled,
we keep our dues low.
There has been an increasing national interest in ballroom dancing as evidenced by the TV and media coverage. The
Talbot Dance Club is poised to respond to that hightened interest. With gasoline prices jumping, quality local
entertainment is finding greater appeal.
Did you catch the well-written, nearly full-page article that appeared in the April 2005 issue of Attraction
magazine (page 70)? The Club has a public relations committee that places its activities in the local media. It
has been found to support our membership recruitment efforts.
Mary Lou and Ron Keller and Marianne and Ron Kent recently spent a weekend at the Catskill Hotel Dance Weekend
festival. They picked up a few new steps last time that were evident at the Fall dances. Speak to them
about the event if you want to experience a total immersion in dancing for a few days. The organization can be found at:
