A history note for those interested, the Troop was started December 31, 1930 by Gerald C. Wentzel and  William H. Bartman Jr  of Pottstown with eight scouts. The troop is 75 years old. The boys will wear a special number 75 on their sleeve to commemorate the event.

Also, the Boy Scouts of America is 100 years old. It was started by Lord Baden Powell who was the founder of the modern day Boy Scouts of America.
