Officers of the Life-Cuirassier Regiment wore nickel plated helmets with the trim, studs, spike base,
chin scales, rosettes and helmet plate gilded. The spike matched the metal of the helmet. The helmet plate, chin
scales and cockades were of distinctive patterns unique to this regiment. The helmet plate is the old Prussian eagle
pattern. A crowned eagle rising with wings displayed with a sword clutched vertically in its right talon with lightning
bolts clutched in its left talon.

Note: This helmet comes mounted with a quality parade eagle. However, it is not the same figural
eagle which appears on the page titled, "Figural Eagles for Garde du Corps Helmets and Schellenbaums." The eagles
contained on that page are made by a European craftsman capable of hand-making completely accurate, custom models of
the Garde du Corps Parade Eagle, in both officer's and trooper's styles. They are very limited in availability, due
to being extremely labor-intensive. Each eagle requires several weeks to create.
.
Note: This helmet comes mounted with a high-quality, fluted service spike and eliptical base. See
below for the same helmet mounted with the fantastic Leib-Gendarmerie Parade Eagle.

Curving over the top of the eagle scroll with the motto ”PRO
GLORIA ET PATRIA”. The chin scales were of the most unusual pattern, unique to this regiment. They were flat with
single scallops and rolled edges. They were hinged with a single pin to their trefoil-shaped rosettes.. Consequently
the Cockades went directly under the rosettes.
