Updates

This week I spoke with Stefan, mastermind behind Swedish Folk Power Metal band
Falconer. Our 18-minute conversation will also be posted on the podcast page this weekend. Falconer's new album Among
Beggars & Thieves is out soon, and I do recommend it. It is their best album in many years. You'll hear the songs on BNM.
Feel free to email your thoughts on the album.
I have no plans to play the new Metallica album. That can change if the music is
appropriate for BNM and you guys want me to spin it. The songs I've heard are not encouraging.
Lots of live shows in the coming months that I plan on attending. This means I
should have more interviews from bands such as Iced Earth, Ensiferum, Helloween, Amorphis, plus other bands that I have
call in to WSCA. If you have any ideas for band interviews, send me your suggestions.
And speaking of suggestions, if you know of some bands/albums that are appropriate
for BNM that you have not heard on the show, please let me know. If they work, and do not suck, I'll spin them. It may
take some time to track down the hard-to-find stuff, but I'll find them. I had a request for Mock in '06, and finally
got it on-air this year.

Site updates / Turn It Up this Tuesday
For reasons of webspace and accessibility for listeners, I have made band interviews
available as podcasts. All band logos on the Interviews page now link to the BNM podcast page. Most interviews are now posted,
but a few from '05/'06 are not up yet. These will be forthcoming.
You no longer have to download .mp3 or .wav files in order to hear the interviews.
Downloading is still an option, but you can simply play the interviews in the podcast player. Soon you can subscribe to BNM
podcasts through iTunes as well. I've gotten a lot of feedback about podcasting each week's BNM broadcast. Stay tuned
for more on this.
I've posted the list of special broadcasts I have done and will do on
BNM. Upcoming dates for these will be posted once they are scheduled. Black Metal Supremacy will be up next...later
this month. If you have any requests/feedback/ideas for any of these shows, please contact me.
Jim Alvino, host of Turn It Up on Tuesdays 1-3pm, will be in the studio with me this Tuesday night. He'll have
