I've made some changes to the site. I have a page for the BNM Theme Music, which includes audio. I removed the "What I'm Spinning" page, as I felt it wasn't necessary to devote a page to it. I can add that in the blog.

 

I've received lots of great new albums in the mail at the station in the last few days. Moonspell, Quinta Essentia, Sonata Arctica - Live, Terror 2000, Loss, among others. The last couple of weeks has seen quality Metal flow into my mailbox. Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime:II will be here this week!

The tracklisting for the upcoming Therion DVD set has been posted. http://www.therionstore.com/item.html?itemid=48 The artwork is really good. I'm really looking forward to this set. And I'll say again that Lemuria/Sirius-B are the best Therion albums since Theli. Typhon is an awesome song! Vovin is a great album, so is Secret Of The Runes. Deggial is ok, but it sounded like Vovin leftovers. I really should revisit that album. Also, Christofer will no longer be doing vocals. Part of the reason is that they will not be doing anymore pre-Theli songs live. That is not cool. But I guess we should be thankful they have been doing any old stuff ever since their change in sound with Vovin. I consider Theli to be their transition record, bridging the old & new. The same could be said for Lepaca Kliffoth.  

Site Update - I've updated the Playlists page with the 3/21 playlist, as well as condensing the page which makes it easier to peruse. You'll see what I mean. Also, it seems my BNM logo isn't showing up properly. Apparently it's defaulting to a generic looking font, and my show name has a specific style. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. 

 

Upcoming Metal - Lots to look forward to this year. The most prevalent is Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime:II which will be contender for album of the year. Hellveto will be up for that honor as well. Hopefully Sear Bliss will have their new one out soon.

 

But so far '06 has been great for new Metal: Daylight Dies, Amorphis, Falkenbach, Hacavitz, and more. Recent arrivals that I've been spinning that are good: Dismember, Astral Doors, Twelfth Gate.

 

The new Witchery album, Don't Fear The Reaper, is disappointing. It's not bad, it's just too damn pedestrian. It plods along at a mid-pace that leaves you screaming for speeeeeeeeed. I'm not as inclined to "do the \nl/" for this one. Perhaps it'll win me over.
