'Special Broadcasts' is updated. For Tuesday's show, of the 10 bands I'm spinning some are by request: WASP, Bathory, Manowar. Tune in to find out who the others are.

For the record, I like what I like and I do not care what anyone else thinks. I'll listen to Moonblood then Dragonforce, Black Witchery then Cradle Of Filth. I do not care if the hot topic mall kids like a band that I do, or if that band is "popular." I am not an elitist. I like what I like, and as such you'll hear well-known bands on BNM alongside the unknown and those bands embraced by the truegrimkvlters. Having said this, don't expect to hear too many of those ozzfest bands. And as always: no nu, no core.

New BNM theme music coming soon. All details will be posted on the 'Theme Music' page in January. In the meantime, if you have not already done so, please acquire 'Angels In The Circuitry' which is the full-length album by William DeChant, composer of the BNM theme music you've heard since 2006. Several of those tracks are included on this album. Links are on the 'Theme Music' page, and the album cover here on the homepage.

Amon Amarth - 01 Dec 07 - Worcester, MA
I am currently recovering from the Amon Amarth show which ended a few hours ago. A quick shower was necessary to wash off the slime from being in the pit and up front in the crush of flesh. I will be quite sore all over when I wake up Sunday afternoon. Totally worth it of course. AA's set was great as expected. As usual at The Palladium in Worcester, the sound quality was not good, and was surprisingly not very loud. Nevertheless, the performance was worthy of Odin's praise. The crowd sang along louder than any other I've seen at this venue, and there were hundreds of people. Far more than I was expecting. I felt proud to see so much headbanging in the crowd. You don't get that too much here, but then again Amon Amarth is one of the most headbang-inducing bands in Metal. I was unable to swipe a setlist, but the songs they played are in order below. And I did not get an interview, for the fourth time in a row. I'll try a fifth time, when they play the States again. I'm guessing that won't be until they're supporting the next album. I'll talk more about the show on Tuesday's BNM.

Valhall Awaits Me
With Oden On Our Side
Death In Fire
Vs. The World
Fate Of Norns (R.I.P. Vitek)
Asator
The Sound Of Eight Hooves
Hermod's Ride To Hel
Thousand Years Of Oppression
Down The Slopes Of Death
Cry Of The Blackbirds
Bleed For Ancient Gods
Runes To My Memory
----------
Victorious March
An Ancient Sign Of Coming Storm
Pursuit Of Vikings

'Special Broadcasts' has been updated.

I'll be attending an Amon Amarth show tonight in Massachusetts. Every other time I've seen them, I've had an interview scheduled but it never happened. With my luck, the same thing will happen tonight. The tour is under a black cloud, as Decapitated was direct support for Amon Amarth. So AA will be doing an extended set since they could not find another band to jump on the tour in such short notice. Since AA will be doing a longer set, I hope to hear old songs. I've seen them 3 times, and they never played anything from the Sorrow ep, the Once Sent album, or from The Avenger album. When supporting their Versus The World album, we only got one tune from The Crusher (Masters Of War). They only play new songs and one or two songs from the previous album. Of course, they were an opening band each of those times so their sets were brief. I want to hear Dragons Flight, Friends Of The Suncross, Sorrow, Arrival Of The Fimbul Winter, Bleed For Ancient Gods. If anyone from the band shows up for the interview this time, I'll broadcast it on BNM on the 11th. \m/ \m/
