You can participate in public access in either of two ways:
A volunteer serves as a crew member for shows made by registered, paid producers.
Volunteers can choose to help producers in the studio or on-location.
Volunteering is a great way to meet producers and learn the ropes, especially if you are interested in starting your own
show.

Bowie Community Media Corporation (BCMC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized with a tax exemption under
section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
BCMC is an independent member-based organization incorporated under the
Corporations and Associations laws of the state of Maryland.
BCMC handles all scheduling for the public access channel by accepting programming from members who produce shows
at the City of Bowie Cable Studios and other production facilities.

Mon-Wed, Fri: 10-1, 2-5, 6-9
Thursday: 2-5, 6-9
Saturday: 12-3

The DVD's are copied from DVC-Pro tapes. These tapes are used to record your program and allow for editing and
airing. If you do one show per month, 3 DVC-Pro tapes are recommended for a total of $45.
Two shows, 6 tapes at $90. Three shows, 10 tapes at $135. Four shows, 12 tapes at $165. Five shows,
14 tapes at $195. Six shows, 16 tapes at $225. Seven shows, 18 tapes at $255. Eight shows, 20 tapes at $270.
Nine shows, 22 tapes at $300. Ten shows, 24 tapes at $330.
Some of the cost estimates are based on purchasing from two different sources to get the best possible deal.
Other factors may affect the recommended amount. This information is intended as a reference only.
