The Joyful Praise Ensemble is the brainchild of its founder and producer Everett Hollins, a former background musician for the late Otis Redding / Patti LaBelle / Candi Staton / Johnny Taylor to name just a few. In the 70's he received gold records for his association with the group "Chic" whom he introduced to the world with their first single, "Dance, Dance, Dance".

 

Elder Everett Hollins, now an ordained minister intoduces three new song writers and six new soloists on this power filled CD "Praise Without Boundries".

 

Ms. Alicia Corbin, whom God blessed as a child in middle school to pen a song entitled "His Love", and this song will become a classic. Ms. Corbin also penned a hit entitled "Thinking About" (How much he loved me).

 

Brother Travis Faulk, another multi-talented young man, has penned a very beautiful classic, "With My Whole Heart". After hearing this song once, you will be singing it to yourself, without even thinking about it, because it sticks to your spirit.

 

Pastor George Gholson, of Grafton Baptist Church, my oldest and dearest friend, and former performer from the days of the Gems, of Newport News, Virginia, has penned  a song entitled "This Time" a beautiful upbeat testimony in song. Pastor Gholson sound like the late "Joe Tex", a beautiful voice.

The test of Joyful Praises founders and a co-founder in the person of Elder Samuel Johnson, of Greater Joy Cogic, was to wait upon the Lord, who would indeed renew our strength. After going through what seemed like a mountain of people, the main core of Hollins/Johnson. C. Savage and Dennis, believed they've found a reminant of what they believed the Lord would bless and present an offering of praise to bless God by the people present on this CD. We've found favor through the Church of God in Christ, The Assemblies of God, The Deliverance Community Churches, and last but not least approximately six Baptist churches who have also supplied talent on this CD. We are still open to hear others that can demonstrate a true willingness to be taught how to standfast and make a purposeful contribution to the Glory of God and let their gift make room for them. This is truly all about Gods glory and not ours. Our mission is to create a vision through song that will bless you and cause some to think about what they are doing and set a vision to live a joyful life, where "The Joy of the Lord is Our Strength", and can be yours too, just say yes to Jesus. I did and I'm so glad, the producer.

 

All songs produced by E. Hollins and co-produced by J.W. Dennis for Joy Unlimited Productions except for "His Love" co-produced by Cameo Hargrove. All songs arranged by E. Hollins with the exceptions of "His Love" and "Think About (How Much He Loves Me)"which were arranged by Alicia Corbin.

 

All songs recorded at Hampton University (Studio B) in Hampton Virginia, with the exception of "This Time", recorded earlier at Midis in Norfolk Virginia.
