In both of these pieces, the painting describes the relationship between the human
ideal and the natural world. The faceted figures connecting to each other represent a bridge and at the same time the separation
between the top half and lower half of the painting. The lower half represents a human experience and the top the unseen world
beyond human perception. Allusion to is a sense of twilight and passage between the two worlds and the ultimate connection
of all things. |

This painting expresses the joyfulness of discovery in a layering of flat
space. This is very much a non objective painting yet suggesting a physical space is unavoidable. There is a deliberate balance
between line and shape and color. The painting is intended to challenge perception with lyrical playfulness as transcendent
experience. |

There is a dense physical presence to this painting with a reflection of light
from a variety of materials. The thickness of the paint itself reflects its physical presence walking the line between painting
and sculpture. The relationship between the green and the white areas operate as metaphoric reference to growth and dormancy
and the transition of cycles.
