January 28, 2009
All is well with the Bentleys after a busier than usual holiday season. It all started off with a Thanksgiving visit to Plano,
Illinois where we gathered in Emmons' Woods with the Phelps and Cinatls. Christmas was soon upon us and lots of company and
events. Susan's sister Nancy and her kids, Chris and Julie, spent the week after Christmas with us. Susan, Nancy and I enjoyed
an overnight get-away seeing James River plantations and Williamsburg. January began with the start of Spring classes and
ended with the 90th Diocesan Council at Hotel Roanoke. We hosted Fr. Peter Yorkstone from England who was representing the
Diocese of Bradford. Now we all wait for spring. MLB

2007 Update
I retired from the University of Tennessee in 2006. I'm now working out of my home in Salem as an educational consultant.
One project underway is an extensive evaluation of the Fairchild Botanic Gardens Challenge Project (Coral Gables, FL). I'm
also doing adjunct teaching for the University of Virginia and Mary Baldwin College. If I can be of service, please contact
me at mbentle1@verizon.net. MB
