Mesha of ISF has served as an invaluable resource for HaitiAnalysis,
a grassroots media collective focused on providing english language news in regards to the caribbean nation of Haiti. We
can attest to her dedication, quick response time, and excellent French to English or English to French translation
services. Furthermore we would like to recommend Mesha because of her critical yet substantive approach
to global current events that has taken time and dedication to understand and engage with.

aide. Claude Ribbe http://www.claude-ribbe.com/ "I recommend the
translation services of Mesha Irizarry (Idriss Stelley Foundation) who spontaneously intervened to help me
disseminate my concepts by translating items on my blog in English and Spanish. Her translations are remarkable and
greatly expeditious. Although she has limited means, she does not hesitate to intervene for NGO's on a tight budget.
So I think that it is normal to help her out as much as we can. Thank you for hiring her services, and for all those who she
helps. Claude Ribbe" ______ Dorinda

Great !
A comrade wishes a book translated. 'el temazcal, uso ceremonial y terapeutico', 80 pages, from spanish to english
Our 24 Hour Bilingual hotline is now a Clearing House
and Crisis Line for the following organizations: * Idriss Stelley Action & Resource Center * SF Cop-Migra Watch
*FORWARD (Services for Fanilies of Parolees) * national Education Not Incarceration (ENI) * Black & Brown
Equitable Drug Policies Coalition (BEDPC) * and crisis back up for PACH (Sonoma County, CA Police Accountability group,
Big Man of the BPM is on that group)
I need to write a paragraph on ISARC 's Multicultural Awareness 101 Seminars
and Grief Support workshops, that we started last year... way below market rate, the only current source of income
to pay our rent and towards clients funds besides our professional translations service. Just translated a 38-page Grief
Support Resources manual for SF Mayor's office, and managed to convince them to include ISARC (for the first time.... ) in
their list of resources.... part of negotations to charge them a mimimum that is "breaking the prices" of other translation
services. I did 2 cycles of seminars for Code Pink and Global Exchange lasr year, and about to do a one day-seminar for
the Labor's UNION

SF, 7-4-09 Dependence
Day....
Dear Freedom Fighters and Allies.
On August 20, 2009, my only child Idriss Stelley would have turned
32. but was killed at 23 by SFPD, 48 bullets, 9 officers, during a "psychiatric intervention".
Without this horrendous
occurrence, (shared through myriad of Stolen Lives at the hands of Law Enforcement), I would now play with grandchildren,
help them with homework, and take them to my native Basque country every year as I did with Idriss from his birth to the time
of his untimely death. 2 months ago, I finally buried my son's ashes on sacred Olone Land.
For the past 8 years,
ISARC has been the sole grassroots entity in the city of San Francisco providing direct services to Survivors of Law Enforcement
and Grieving Families of Loved Ones killed by police. We have served over 6000 clients locally, statewide and nationwide,
and provide over 150 yahoogroups for Survivors, Families and social/racial Justice activists. We also provide individual
counseling, Victory Over Violence Support Groups, pro bono attorneys referrals, and help individuals organize critical mass
alerts and protests.
Our services are free and confidential. We depend on the community to keep our doors open. Our
expenses are modest, $225 a month share of rent, and client funds for low income individuals, who often come to us hungry
or with no money to get on a bus back home.
Since May 08, we host the SF_Chapter of Education Not Incarceration (ednotinc.org), and since August 08, FORWARD (Bay Area direct support
services to Families of Parolees).
In September 08, we founded SF_COPWATCH infrastructure and grew it to 91 members
online. SF_COPWATCH has now merged with SF Migrawatch and moved on to be an independent collective, which is awesome !
ISARC
is now working on growing support for Justice4Hughes_DeLaPlaza, French-American citizen killed in SF on June 7, 2007 (SFPD
and the DA concluded to suicide, but the French police came to SF last year and concluded to homicide at 100%) We are
also growing support for survivors of electronic harassment.
Unfortunately, our client base is not diminishing under
the regime of "Hope" and "Change"... Our Justice4Oscar_Grant yahoogroup has grown to 332 members. and we compile an on
going updated list of endorsers of Justice4Oscar Grant III campaign, that we share with other organizations working on this
horrific case.
Please consider giving us a hand ! No donation is too big or too small....
$5 provides
a week worth of bus tokens for our poor clients $10 covers our DSL monthly connection for our clients to work on their
outreach $20 pays for our monthly street outreach (flyers and cards) $50 buys healthy snacks for our Internship program
kids $60 covers the monthly cell bill for a client in crisis $75 is the monthly cost if field trips for our interns
$200 allows one of our client to file in federal court $225 is a month of office rent $500 secures our Stolen Lives
yearly induction ceremony to honor our Client Families.
Checks (non tax deductible, we are not 501-c3, to remain free
in agenda and programs) can be processed to ISARC Redstone Building, Suite #209 2940 16th St, SF CA 94103
You
can remain anonymous or we will be happy to honor your contributions !
Thank you big time to Berkeley Copwatch's $200
generous donation of last month that allowed us to repair our computer, Cyndy Sheehan $250 in September 08 to Education
Not Incarceration !!!! and Activist Naomi Finklestein of Seatlle who sent us a Dell Laptop !!!
and Eternal thanks
to Brother Orlando for maintaining our websites !!!
We are in process of organizing a benefit on Idriss B-day,
8-20-09, to raise funds to contine providing a safe, confidential space for our needy clients.

Bitter Tears, the Assassination of Oscar Grant: "BARTing While BLACK"
Maya Angelou once wrote...
"Like the moon and the stars.... We shall RISE...."
Unless of course, it is 2 a.m., New Year's Eve 2009, on the Oakland Plantation.
You, unarmed, pleading for your life as a young Father, at the tender age of 22, while
a rogue Bay Area Rapid Transit cop (Tony Pirone) punches you, then crushes your neck with his knee, shortly followed in his enthusiastic-racist, vicious rage by Officer Joannes
Mehserle, who shoots you in the back, murdering you.
Last Call, Lights Out.
The Party is ovah ! You do not get to rise under the NewYear's
night Moon andStars, Oscar. U DEAD,
BARTing While BLACK.
* A now fatherless baby-daughter, Tatiana, 4yr. old, is wondering
where Daddy went.... * A mother, Wanda Johnson , cries her heart out for life.
Was Mehserle promised a
medal in the Bart PD corridors for solely taking the rap, while infamous officer Tony Pirone, (now nicknamed "Piraña", like the murderous fish, on Justice4Oscar_grant yahoogroup
by one of its 288 subscribers) is left to enjoy a paid administrative leave ?
Mehserle, who conveniently
resigned (which likely will safeguard his pension), yet to offer any condolences to Oscar's Grieving Family, was arrested
as a "fugitive", in Nevada on January 13.
The corporate press, two weeks after the assassination of Oscar Grant
III, made a furtive. one-day attempt the "angelize" the killer, on the day following his arrest,
i.e.: The KKKrronicle's
puff piece on Mehserle depicted as a "Gentle Giant" since
childhood.
But as soon as DA Tony Orloff announced that no charges where considered on Pirone and the 2 officers who
remained busy confiscating the cellphones of horrified onlookers at the murder scene. instead of applying CPR on a dying,
innocent Black Youth, the glorifying of Mehserle came to an abrupt stop, Be gone "Gentle Giant", now
Prime contender for the sole Oakland Bart police recipient of the grand Looser of the Year 2009 Award.... (Although
the Bart Police Association has announced that it will cover all Mehserle's legal fees from now on... ) just like Chicago
Police Officers Association covered first class flights to trial and VIP luxury hotel accomodations for Jon Burge , (main
torturer of over 200 Chicago prison inmates) for three years in a row.
In the meantime, "progressive" political
parties and their local factions experience growing pains and tension around...:
* Who spearheads the Justice4OscarGrant
Campaign, * who reaps the credits, * who will subsequently swell up the "hits" count on their website,
* who beefs up membership recruitment, * and successfully beat the competition on donation drives.
And, sadly....
* Who will, exponentially, get preferential access and hegemony on Oscar's family, to be able to use the Justice4OscarGrant
Campagn as their prime promo.
Been there: RIP Idriss Stelley slaughtered by SFPD, 48 bullets, 9 cops, June 01/
Muddy waters will flow under the Oakland Plantation's Bridge, crisis after crisis.
...Next !
And after a year or so, us Grieving families of Loved Ones murdered
by Law Enforcement are soon forgotten to the world, or labeled "Attention Hoes" by the conservative press, if we
dare to continue demanding Justice for our Loved ones' Stolen Lives.
"Community based" organizations are staging
similar protests at the same date and time, but at different locations. - (I should know, as I maintain the) calendar
of related events on a daily basis on : groups.yahoo.com/group/Justice4Oscar_GRANT/
Four different NGOs and groups are running their own endorsements list on the "People demands: Justice4OscarGrant",
with no effort or intent to consolidate.
Bro Prez tightens Homeland Security, which incidentally BART Police is
part of.
Does "HOPE" and "CHANGE" spells Law Enforcement Transparency and Accountability ? Or "Police
Reform"? ....In my pipedreams, it does.
The Liberal Band plays on:
"We are ALL Oscar Grant !" "We are ALL Sean Bell !"
No, Dahlinks, not quite. There is a tiny difference.
You
are ALIVE, YOU have a future, Amadou, Kathryn, Sean and Oscar are very DEAD, They have fallen and won't get
up when the show is over.
You can lay face down on the pavement, time for a dramatic, ephemerous moment
of fame on "Facebook" or "UTube",
but you get to get up and go home when the "shooting" is over.
* If you are white, and were allegedly drinking 'n fighting on New year's first hours, you got a CITATION.
* If an underaged white minor, youwere released to your parents' custody, for "Boys will be Boys".
*
As for you, "Revolutionary" boogie Youth, if you did indeed something "illegal" or distateful on that infamous
night, Daddi bailed you out in one piece in the morning, and Mommy spent the day nurturing your hangover.
As
the mother of a Black kid executed by SFPD, my soul is fuming, as the malaise and hypocrisy doesn't let down.
The
anti war movement in the Bay Area... sends us one or two quick "From Gaza to Oakland" fancy PDFs, opportunistic demagogy
paying lip service to the War at Home,
and the Unions' overall silence around the Murder of Oscar is deafening.
Am I pissed ? Ya betcha.
My agency has not attempted to contact Oscar's family, not over
my grieving body, ever.
Oscar's biological and extended family may eventually contact us, when and/or if
they wish to do so, but I am not about to join the progressive bandwagon and contribute to their suffocation and exploitation
in the name of Justice.
Bitter tears.... BARTING while BLACK, Party on, Oakland !
My heart intensely goes to the family...
Am I "defeating
Unity" ?
(although gathering our forces under ONE Justice4OscarGrant Movement is already weakened by growing dissension
on the left bank of "progressive politics", drowning in NGO's cat fights to make Justice4OscarGrant their primary
pet peeve....)
Disagree ? Holla Back !
