We are very fortunate to live in Brooklyn, in a diverse and engaging neighborhood. Our apartment is a loft built in
a converted chocolate factory. On our floor alone, there are 6 children under 5 (with more on the way). The children all
spend a lot of time racing with each other in the hallway and playing with each other in our different apartments and rooftop
gym.
We have many friends in the city, both with and without children, who are deeply involved in Ella’s life. Every month
we get together with a playgroup we formed with other adoptive families. We love knowing that we have created a support network
for our children. As they grow up, they will have so many friends who are adopted and who are being raised by two moms, two
dads, or a mom and dad so that they can talk through their experiences together.
For now, all the kids enjoy exploring parks, playgrounds, and museums together.
