Painting with Acrylics on canvass is my favorite method of painting.  As a matter of subject, I prefer the simplicity of a well balanced still life which incorporates natural beauty such as flowers, fruit, etc along with man made items that interact with the natural world.

From start to finish, a painting usually takes me a few years to complete since I only work on them when I have a burst of creative energy.  I believe I do my best work in the later hours of the evening and I've been known to stay up into the wee hours of the night working on tedious elements such as reeds of a basket or petals on a rose.

It has been several years since I did a canvass painting because I've been busy with other artisitic projects that are in this gallery.  I do have a painting that is nearly complete but has been on the eisle (so to speak) for over 8 years.  See the last photo for this "work in progress".
