Katherine Poulin-Neff, USDF Bronze, Silver & Gold medalist, was on 4 North American Young Riders
teams, placing in the top 10 individually each time, and winning 2 NAYRC team Gold medals.
In 2000, she was the recipient of the Dressage Foundation/USDF European Young Rider’s scholarship, and last summer
she served as chaperon for the recipients of the 2005 European Young Rider’s scholarship program.
Katherine
has successfully trained a number of horses to FEI and is currently training and showing Brilliant Too, a Dutch gelding owned
and bred by her parents. In 2004, Katherine & Brilliant Too were USDF Horse
of the Year at First Level Freestyle with an 80% average and third at USDF First Level Open with a 72% average. In 2005, the pair won the Region 2 Championships at both Third (73.3%) and Fourth Level (67.39%). This past winter show season, Katherine & Brilliant Too won the Zada Cup and were
FEI high point of the show with a 69.8% at Intermediare
I.
Katherine
is currently enrolled in the USDF Instructor Certification program. She was also
selected from more than 200 applicants to participate in the first Young Horse Trainers’ Symposium held at Hilltop Farm.
She has trained
with her parents, Sharon & Michael Poulin, Natalie Lamping (FEI “I” judge), the late Franz Rochowansky (chief
rider of the Spanish Riding School), Dr. Volker Moritz (FEI “O” judge), Mariette Withages (president of the FEI),
Jean Bemelmans (FEI Trainer & coach of the Spanish Olympic team), Ingrid Klimke (German 3-day Olympic team member), and
Christoph Hess (Director of Training at the German DOKR).
Katherine
works out of Don & Sue Michalek’s Dancing Horse Farm in Newbury, Ohio, while she spends her winters at The Dressage Center, Inc. in Deleon Springs, Florida.
