  • Here in this page are some comments and feedbacks from the visitors of this web site.

Interestingly, practically all feedbacks are very positive and encouraging. The most encouraging sign for me from reading these comments, as a web master and writer on the content of this web site is the fact that visitors of all age and nationalities - young or old, Cambodians or non-Cambodians - are unanimous on the importance of history in understanding Cambodia's current tragic situation.  In that sense, this web site has fullfilled its intended objective, and beyond.

I am most grateful to all those who took time to visit this web site and to leave their impression in it. Thank you very much for all you have said and done.

Hi Naranhkiri,

First let me introduce myself, I'm a Vietnamese-Australian and currently studying at Griffith University. I just started university and taking international relation as I have been interested in international politics since 14, now I'm 21.

As a Vietnamese I was not aware of much of the mistreatment of Cambodian by the Vietnamese people, that you have described and feel that I should make an apology on behalf of my people for the pain my people have caused the Khmers. My sincere apology again to your people.

Even though I'm a 1st year uni student and scored bad in my english exam; hence my bad spelling and grammar, you might find my talent quite useful. Before I start I just wanted to let you know I disagree with your constant assumption that Vietnam is all the cause of all Cambodia's problem.

Ok,the thing I want to point out is that your plan resembles any human rights activist plans... which is stress the problem to the public and appeal to the US government for help. I think you lack allot of tactics and understanding of the world politics. Not to be offensive but you seem to stress the problem not the solution like take down Hu Shen but not elaborate on how, your solution resolves around the fall of communism in Vietnam and begging US government to take another look at the problem which you don't understand can take decades. Also you understand yourself very well but how well do you know the enemy in this case Vietnamese. Theres alot of problem in your path to freedom because its a simple plan, a protest or demonstration will get the same result.

Please don't take it to offense but just think about it. Hope it helps

Regards Peter

Dear Naranhkiri,

I believe the world should have more men like you and it has been an honor. To tell you the truth I fear Cambodia suffering has just begun which lead me to your website.

I know im still young but I get a feeling something big is going to happen, a shift in world power like India japan brazil and Germany running after Permanent UN seats. Russia and USA quitely preparing for world war 3 and ofcourse the rapid rise of China. As you know India, Japan and USA has been courting Vietnam for awhile as Vietnam gaurds the gate which has stop the chinese from expanding south wards for thousands of years. The chinese influence are always in check by Vietnam but everyone fears Vietnam might side with China as it economy is rapidly growing. The Chinese have been agressively been using soft power around the world and it influence is growing alarmingly.

As for Cambodia it not like other countries its placed between world powers like korea who's foriegn policy is decided by Russia China Japan and USA. I believe Cambodia has more problems to deal with than Vietnam domination. Cambodia is a flashpoint and is waiting for a spark to ignite the whole country into an inferno.

As the US is weakening so has democracy in south-east asia and i see a whole new world in less than 10 years.

I believe you should be more involved in Cambodia politics as not many men like youself out there that are not blinded by their emotions and pride. Again it was a honor to meet you and hope you keep in touch.

Regards Peter

Hi Dr. Tith,

I am so glad and proud to see a few Cambodians like you are well educated, well respected and hopefully one day all of you will be invited to help put our beloved Cambodia together.  While I enjoy and learned a lot from your site, I would like to know your view and assessment regarding the Lon Nol regime and what he was trying to do for Cambodia. I read the letter that Prince Serik Matak wrote back to American Ambassador it really interested me and made me admire him a lot.  Your thoughts and views are very much appreciated.

Dear Kiri:

I came across the story about your presentation that you gave. First glance, it looks like you have the brain to do what you do.  What I don't understand is your negative view regarding Hun Sen.  The man is a true nationalist with a visionary plan for the future.

The country has come a long way with his leadership leading the way. If you are not safisfied with what Hun Sen has been doing, I sugguest you start an opposition party

to be based at Anlung Veng or Pailin.  Maybe you can have a second chance to finish what Pol Pot did not finish.

Regards,

Khurn Noy

Dear Dr. Tith,

It has come to my attention that your writings have attracted quite a bit of controversy amongst the Khmer community.  Many people, including myself, have been offended by the sweeping generalizations expressed through your articles.

Much of their frustrations have been vented through my website, www.khmercity.net.  I would like to invite you to join the site to defend yourself.  I for one think that you are good person who cares about the welfare of the Khmer people, aside from being an intellectual.

I want to give you an opportunity to defend your points.

Comments: Dr. your analysis of the current situation is most accurate. I fear the presence of Vietnam is strong. The communication of history however is very one sided. I fear that if you want to inform and teach the future Khmers, it is important to provide a balanced view. The monarchy like any other regimes is not void of mistakes nor bad decisions, after all they are but human and not gods. We must continue to learn from our past mistakes and successes, after all we must recognize that there were some successes. Though you warn us of the Vietnamese invasion, you have as well praised their culture. In recognizing great cultures which surround the world, you have also neglected to mention the Thais who have been able to become a little Dragon and this while maintaining monarchy (another little country also called England seem to do well). One is saddened by the state of Cambodia when we cross the border from Poi Pet to Aragn. As your analysis refer to problems, we would certainly welcome your solutions Dr. yours prodigiously for a Modern and Growing Cambodia Ayiriv

Comments: This is a superb website for people who want to know deeply about the situation in Cambodia. It has explicitly shown the face of a culprit who helped the Khmer Rouge to usurp the power in Cambodia. The repercussion of his irresponsible act has been extremely devastating (about 2 million Cambodians died), and might be very painful for the future generation of Cambodians, who might not see Cambodia in the world map again in the next 100 to 200 years, due to the massive infiltration by the regional expansionist or "core settlers" into Cambodia, indirectly paved the way by the Khmer Rouge.

Comments: Hi Dad, This site is difficult to read. The pages, at least the front page, above the fold, which is the most important part, extends way to far off the right hand side of the monitor. The copy does not wrap. You will loose a serious reader right away. Also, Please you should fix the typo on "Guessbook" on your Home page. You have it correct on this form! I like the way you have organized your tabs to other pages on the left hand column. This is much easier to read than yellow on blue. Also the copy wraps nicely, like a newspaper column. One more thing. I really had trouble finding the place to click to sign this Guestbook. I tried clicking on the underlines words first. Most webmasters use underlined words to indicate a link through to more information. Not all of course!

Your website is so precious to the people who want to know about Cambodia, notably to the Cambdians people. They can write what they want such as "show off", printing junk web sites on it, etc... But to the people with the right mind, your website is priceless. If you can, I would like to suggest that you remove those "irresponsible comments" from your website. It made me sick to see those animals did that to your website. Best regards, Chimear

Khmer Rouge destroyed the entire territory, it made me so sick when I remembered my days in the jungle during the torture period. It was a terrible experiences for all of Cambodian survivors. As a Cambodian-American I wish I can start my life all over again. Cambodia today is not pretty as it was, everything has changed too much. Since I fled the land in 1979 I have no desire to visit. Again I just want to share my thought with you and to show you how much I miss my homeland. I wish Cambodia is still in the world map for ever. Sincerely Neary Eng

For many young men, like me, in my generation whose had lose so many years of our lives due to the war and conflict over the decades, needed to have the kind of light and some perspectives on Khmer issues that is being shared by the essays in the website. Without this kind of stories telling and written text similar to what are being presented in the website, many of us may have only a blurred memory of the past struggle of our leaders. I would like to congratulate you on the job well done, and hope you may continue taking the cause to the other Cambodians on the behalf of all of us.

Comments:      Dr Tith: First of all, I’d like to sincerely admire you for your personal accomplishment. You’ve used your knowledge to share with our people. Such noble deed deserves respect from our compatriots. It would take a tremendous effort, time, and particularly courage to produce a website containing so much important information like yours. We’ve been having problems making the distinction between the traitor and the National hero. Your website has clearly provided the necessary information that will enable our people to make a wise and better judgment concerning the quality of our leaders. The major problems facing our Country now and in the future is the approximate 4 millions illegal immigrants who have the right to vote. Remember that this number keeps growing constantly- from incessant infiltration and newborn. It will pose a vital threat to our existence. For instance, if a new party win in the 2008 election, our neighbor can use these illegal immigrants to cause a lot of trouble, possibly use them to wage a civil war, which will confuse national and international observers. In effect, our people and the world will swiftly conclude that Cambodians always fight with Cambodians - they have Cambodian name and speak Khmers without any accent, because they born in Cambodia. I wish our current leaders unanimously consider these illegal immigrants as the highest priority and find a viable solution to resolve this issue. Lastly, I would like to thank you, Dr Tith, for your great initiative at generating the petition attempting to save our motherland. You’ve earned my respect. Best regards, Sek Sarith
