Blog Schmog
Yeah, I know I haven't been blogging as of late.  I really have no excuse except to say I've been super lazy.  Since my weekend Korean dramas are showing some boring historical period piece, I should spend my time blogging (during the weekday evenings, I'm watching regular Korean dramas).  Err, not quite.  Instead, I've been comsumed with catching up on any Tony Leung Chiu Wai movies.  Can't say my Cantonese has improved, but I'm learning how to read subtitles a lot quicker.  Mark my words, I will meet him someday.

Anyhows, I've been feeling a bit uneasy about my upcoming trip to LA.  Maybe it's because I've never traveled alone.  Especially without Phil and the girls.  I've been getting all these horrible thoughts if something should happen and I never get to see my little ladies again (unless of course, I come back as a ghost).  Must get that fear out of my head.

For the record, I refuse to let my children be raised by my sister in-law in MD should something happen to Phil.  I want my children to have a sense of who they are CULTURALLY and not by one who is set FINANCIALLY.  I want them to live here in the city around my sisters, family, especially near my cousin, her husband and children (her children adores my girls).  I want them to know they are a quarter Korean.  I would like them to learn the drums, the fan dance and perhaps learn the Korean language.  Okay okay, I'll stop talking nonsense.  But whoever reads this- you are all my witnesses!

I haven't started packing for my trip quite yet.  Infact, I started laying out Sophia's clothes for the next five days (I'll have to do Olivia's tomorrow), putting them in a ziploc bag, labeling the days.  I suppose Phil can do this, but I wouldn't want Sophia looking like a total FOB (fresh off the boat).

Oh!  One good thing, my apartment could very well be chosen to get a home makeover.  Crossing fingers and toes...

Paaar-tay
My colleague invited me to an LG event party this evening.  After we had gotten some hor'euvres and cocktails, we settled in for a presentation on their new and upcoming products.  I have to say, I was pretty excited on seeing their flat screen tvs, fridge (it's got a TV on it!) and washer (it has steam!).  Most of all, the phones was the most fun.  They didn't mention anything about the new Prada LG phone.  I think it's limited to Asia and Europe.  There was an updated version of the Chocolate, which I didn't care too much for.  But there was another phone that totally kicked ass.  I can't remember the name, but I liked the fact that it's super thin (like my wallet) and can fit comfortably in my back pocket (I am not a fan of carrying purses).

Best part of the evening?  Scoring an LG Portable Navigator LN735.  It's so perfect for our road trips.  How cool is that????

Still In Love! + LA
Sigh, every free moment I get at work, I secretly read up on Tony Leung's website.  After doing some investigating, I came across a site that is run by fans from around the world!  I found out that he posts on a forum site.  Very exciting!  And, every year, he throws himself a huge birthday party for his fans (except for this year since he's busy working on a new movie).  How awesome is that?  Next party he has, I am so there, even if I have to fly around the world just to meat, I mean, meet him.  heh heh  Watch out, super stalker is on the prowl.

Some good news!  I am going to LA in a few weeks for work!  It's just for a few days, but still, I am super excited to be given this opportunity.  And, I've never been to CA.  I've always had this fear of visiting CA- earthquakes, brush fires, getting lost on their five lane freeway...haha...seriously, I do!  I am though, looking forward to eating at the In-And-Out Burger (as I wrote that, my stomach really growled!).  It better be worth it too since I'm not a huge beef eater.

And a big thanks to N+M for filming their son Scout and O.  Check it out here-  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz_IG2smN6I

Hot Hot Hot
No, I'm not talking about the latest weather forecast in NYC, but I'm referring to my latest obsession and almost stalkerish like behavior-  Tony Leung Chiu Wai

In Chungking Express, there is a really hot scene with him and the air stewardress he hooked up.  Watch it here from YouTube.  Yeah, I wish it was me and Tony Leung.  hahaha

In "In The Mood For Love", everything about the movie was so damn sexy.  Lots of shadows, great soundtrack, overall amazing acting that will leave you breathless.  I'm really surprised the movie was not nominated for a Golden Globe when it won an award in the Cannes (and Tony Leung won Best Actor at the Cannes!).

In "Infernal Affairs" (which by the way was re-made to The Departed- some white boy in the office told me that- how bizarre!), his acting had me on full alert all the way to the end.

He's done a lot more films that I will need to catch up on.  Plus his latest film directed by Ang Lee (the first Asian director to win an Oscar for Brokeback Mountain- aww yeah) called Lust & Caution.  Should be interesting to see how he'll be accepted in the US.

He is just so motherfucking hot.  If I was to have a fling, it would be with him.  Mmmm~

Headbands
Sophia's into headbands these days.  Since I'm trying to grow her hair out, her bangs are constantly in all over her face.  And much to Phil's dismay since he doesn't know how to tie or clip her hair (better start learning!).  Anyhows, I picked up a bunch of elastic and colorful headbands at Target for Sophia.  I take one and put it on my head and Sophia says to me in her matter-of-fact yet soft voice, "No Mommy, your head is too big."

Gee, thanks.

Twinkle Toes
Yesterday I brought Sophia with me and my sister Judy whilst getting a pedicure.  I've never brought her along, so she was a bit curious about the whole process.  One of the workers entertained her a bit (I brought some library books for her to read) and kept telling us she is a very smart girl (duh, I knew that! haha).  Another one wanted to paint her nails and Sophia defiantly said nooooooooo.

Judy moh-moh (when Sophia was a baby, she couldn't say ee-mo, translation for Aunt in Korean) was sitting close by to her and heard her say aloud, "My Daddy is going to love my mommy's toes."

How fucking cute is that?
