new pictures from the side yard. 6/1/02
Firefly getting her finishing touches prior to paint. Today we added the hand rails, and backing plates for the deck hardware. I also installed the upper rudder bearing and boomkin support.

The building crew celebrates a moment of triumph!
Here she is, loaded onto the trailer! Don't ask how I got her from the cradle to the trailer. It involved a lot of car jacks, automobile stands, and patience... I almost lost the whole thing once, but the automobile stands saved the day.
This piece of hardware was critical. It is a stainless steel boom bail that is through bolted with a 3/8 X 3" stainless bolt through the keel assembly. The hole is coated with epoxy. Hopefully, this will last a while. I still need to install some blocking under the keel about 2' in front of the bunks. I will cut up the cradle for this.

This is next weekend's project. Sanding and painting. Well, maybe just sanding one side!
