Happy Indigenous People's Day!
Well, I have finally found some time to get the keel sheething cut. I made a template from the keel plug on some scrap ply and then fine tuned it to the exact curve of the bottom to the stern post. It was actually very easy, but finding time during the school year is next to impossible.
If it were not sleeting, and snowing today, I would pull off the tarp and sand and fair the bottom. It looks as if the boat will sit under cover until Spring. I will move the woodshop from the garage to the new basement (our addition to the house has really sucked up an enormous amount of boatbuilding time) and start work on things like the rudder, sternpost, hatches, etc. . . that should keep me entertained and save a little time in the Spring.
I am hoping to find a barn or garage to put the boat in during the winter so I can continue to work.
