On this page we present different options to encourage you to get involved in the VRT Project. For example:

Make a Donation

LitvakSIG employs several translators in the effort to provide translations to qualified donors. A $100 donation entitles you to all the vital records translations for a single town, as they become available.**

Click the hyperlink below to access the downloadable VRT Donor Form.

** Note - LtvakSIG, as of September 2007, is reviewing this policy. A $100 donation will no longer be the benchmark for receiving all records, especially for the towns with large record collections as well as those with few active researchers. In short, active researchers will be required to bear the cost of translation.

Volunteer Your Time

Become a Shtetl Coordinator. As a Shtetl Coordinator, you will be responsible for the fundraising for your shtetl as well as proofing the translations. Proofing is purely an editing exercise, with no foreign language skills required. The ability to read Hebrew or Russian handwriting can enhance the final product.

Advertise the VRT Project

Advertise the Vital Records Translation Project to family, friends, and potential major contributors who might be interested in financially supporting the project.
