The Rookies annual schedule has been to have something for each month of the year.
The year starts with a Dinner Theatre in February and is followed in March by a gathering at someone's home to iron out the schedule for the rest of the year and to have a chance to gab. Our first campout is in April and there are 6 more months of camping throughout the year, each one usually being held on the second full weekend of the month. Each campout usually starts on Friday and ends on Sunday. At each campout we have an outing on one evening or else have a potluck meal that gives us a chance to taste the goodies from the many talents of the club members. Scattered in among the campouts are the Samborees, held at the end of May and at the end of October. Three times a year we participate in a community activity, currently assisting in maintaining grounds at Cedarville State Park. In November there is another planning gathering at someone's home. At the end of the year is a Christmas party, again at someone's home.
Thus there is a full year's activities that provide a chance for all to participate in one activity or another.
