This is a Lionel KW transformer with the case removed showing a previous repair attempt of the whistle actuator
by gluing a piece of white plastic to the actuator. Also, one of the bakelite stops has been broken
off. The transformer was totally disassembled and a replacement bearing
plate was installed along with new rollers. Repair cost was $45.00.

This is the used Bearing Plate purchased from The Train Tender for $12.50. You can see that the whistle actuators are perfectly good and the
bakelite stops are intact. All of the parts from the original bearing plate were reinstalled
and reriveted on the new bearing plate. All wires were reconnected and soldered.
