The 2046 boiler & boiler front in the first picture was beadblasted, primed, and painted.  The bell was polished, new handrails installed, stack repainted, and new jewel lights and cab numbers were added.  The steam chest and rear trucks were beadblasted and treated with iron oxide.  The mechanical parts of the engine were cleaned and repaired as necessary to ensure that it smokes, lights, and runs both in forward and reverse.  The tender received a new shell and the whistle mechanism was cleaned and repaired as necessary to ensure that it whistles.  The cost of this restoration was $95.00 including labor and parts.
