Veitnam Vets are gathering at 8am on March 17 from across the nation to protect the 3 war memorials in Washington.   I have not heard or seen any emails concerning this from any of the C 4/3 11th.   I know I will be there and we are going to charter as many buses as needed to get there.     If you receive any emails concerning the configureing of vets at the war memorials please let me know by email.   Thanks much   Ray Hait Veitnam  69/70

Frank Hensley writes: Here is the website for the March 17th anti-antiwar demo in DC, called the Gathering of Eagles.

Hopefully, Jane F'ing Fonda and her buddies will not spraypaint any more monuments in DC.  The Park Police is not the Capital Hill Police.  The USPS has already stated that they will arrest anyone who does something stupid.  Good for them.  The Vet organizations all say they'll be kicking ass if the Wall is touched by the antiwar folks.

I'll be at the Wall on the 17th of March.

Comments: Welcome home... I was surprised (and pleased) to find the lyrics to my song 'The Wall' featured on your wonderful site... I think yours is one of the most comprehensive and all-encompassing VN Veterans web-sites I've ever come across... Congratulations and continued success in 'keeping the Fires lit'... I served in RVN with the 4th Inf Div many lifetimes ago ('68 & '69), and have been down to visit my Buddies at The Wall fairly often over the years... I was invited to perform my song there for the 20th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial...(Easily one of the most unforgettable moments of my life)... Please accept my sincere and respectful Salute to all of you... God Bless, and again: Welcome Home ! Murph

Comments: I am Dick Arnold of the Coffelt Database Team: http://www.virtualwall.org/docs/vwdbase.htm It is a not-for-profit attempt to identify the company-level unit for each Vietnam KIA. According to your SITREPS, on 04/25/68, C 4/3 lost two men, George Jacobs and Eric Ficklin to a Bouncing Betty. We agree with Jacobs but have an offical source placing Ficklin in A, 4/3. I have spoken to Tom S about this.I am near-certain the journals are right and we are wrong. Can anyone confirm the unit for Eric Ficklin? Thanks! Dick A,1/35th Inf 1967-68

CAN YOU HELP? The Coffelt data team would like to know if anyone from A company 4/3 1971 can confirm the death of James Ronald Brown on 8/8/71. If you have any info, please contact Dick Arnold ABOVE!

PTSD, or as I like to call it, Trauma induced behavior, is one of the pieces of baggage many of us brought home from Vietnam. One of the common symptoms of PTSD is an overwhelming guilt, sometimes called survivors guilt. For us the guilt spread its arms to include the activities of March 16 1968 in a place we called Pinksville. Some in "C" 4/3  even believe we were involved in the events of that day which only adds weight to the possiblity of trauma induced behavior. Be gone, you trauma whore. Knowledge and facts will render you impotent. If you have a need to know about My Lai or PTSD please visit the Charlie 3/1 11th LIB web page. This page can be linked through the the 11th LIB site. foxtrot
