Red is the liturgical color symbolizing love and zeal, bringing to mind fire and blood. Red is
worn on many occassions in the church including: Palm Sunday, to celebrate evangelists and martyrs, saint's days, and ordination.
Last but not least it is symbolic of Pentecost, the day on which the Holy Spirit descended, appearing in tongues of fire,
and since recognized as the birthday of the Christian Church. The back tip of this special stole is embellished with a dove
as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
The stole front is crafted from a tone on tone red cotton. The stripes
and dove are appliqued and finished with machine embroidery. It is lined with a red broadcloth fabric
and is interfaced for added body. Stole is 52" long measuring from back of neck to the bottom
of the hem on one side. It measures 4 1/2" wide at the hem and tapers to 2 3/4" at the neck.

This stole symbolizes the gifts of the Holy Spirit spoken of in Isaiah 11:2. They are
wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. This stole can be a visual reminder of
how God works through us.
The stole front is crafted from a varigated red cotton. The symbols
are appliqued and finished with machine embroidery. The childrens are handpainted with textile paint. It is lined
with the same cotton fabric as the front and is interfaced for added body. Stole is 51" long
measuring from back of neck to the bottom of the hem on one side...we will confirm your desired length prior

The stole is unique is a very exciting way!
The base fabric is embossed with swirls that make us think of the energy that must have been felt on the day the church was
born--Pentecost. The swirled fabric (that has just a smidge of sparkle to it) evokes a feeling of the wind and descending
flames...the dove of course reminds us of the Holy Spirit. Some of the swirls surrrounding the dove have been accented with
textile paint to further emphsize the visual image of wind and fire.

front is crafted from a poly/satin blend. The dove is appliqued and finished with machine embroidery. Some
of the swirls are handpainted with textile paint. It is lined with the same fabric as the front and is interfaced for
added body.Stole is 49" long measuring from back of neck to the bottom
of the hem on one side. It measures 4 1/2" wide at the hem and tapers to 2 3/4" at the neck.

The red, the tongues of fire, and the dove
visually tell the story of the beginning of the church, the Holy Spirit and the zest and passion for our faith on this stole.

This stole is based on Acts 2:17 "...I will
pour out my Spirit on all people..." This is from a sermon by Peter and it was designed to awken the hearers to embrace the
faith of Christ and to join the church. May the colors and symbols on this stole be a visual message of God's word to
all that you minister to.
