The March Match is now one for the books. It was an exteme  test of Marksmanship. The Range was fully engulfed
in Fog till 11:30 when the decision was made to commence.
The picture below was taken early during the Match.

At 10:15 AM as the morning began to warm, wind began to clear out the Fog. We had several Shooters new to the Cannonsburg Range. The delay time gave everyone a chance mingle, meet and
discuss Summer plans and future Matches. With the rainfall
the Target Setters job was even more difficult and we value
and appreciate their efforts.

The air was very damp and humid. I personally shot
most of my Relays without Blow Tubing. During the
Match this humid air added to the difficulty by keeping
the powder smoke close to the ground. Sight Picture
was more of a problem than the wind. Medium to heavy
Mirage was experienced in the afternoon. This changed often due to the wind conditions.

The Match was well attended filling all positions of fire. Our hats off to all the brave souls who showed up
to challenge the conditions. For the most part scores
were down due to the light conditions, but several
Shooters did well anyway. Most commented that their
apertures on their rear sight were just not large enough.
