2008 Shoot Schedule

            We are posting the following shoot schedule for 2008 at NEKFG.  Two of the dates are for back to back 40 shot matches.  The June shoot is our two day aggregate 80 shot Herman Dean Memorial match.       Shooting on the practice days will begin at 10AM.  On the match days the shooter registration will begin at 8 AM.  A shooter’s meeting will be held at 9 am with the match following the shooter’s meeting. 

The 2008 dates are as follows:

             March - Practice 3/15 and 3/21                      April - Practice 4/19 and 4/25
            40 shot match 3/22                                            2  - 40 shot matches 4/26-27                                     

            May - Practice 5/17 and 5/23                           June - Practice 6/14 and 6/27
            40 shot match 5/24                                           Herman Dean Memorial 80 shot                                                                                               match 6/28-29

            July - Practice 7/19 and 7/26                            August – Practice 8/16 and 8/22
            40 shot match 7/27                                           40 shot match 8/23

            Rules : NRA rules apply, Ear and Eye Protection.  Open Breech Block Indicators                               required.

            Directions: Near Kentucky, West Virginia state line. Take I-64 to Exit 185 (Cannonsburg-Ashland).  Turn South about ¼ mile to Big Run Road.  Turn right on Big Run Road (across from the Flying J Truck Stop) and go about 1 mile. Turn left up hill and make the first right to range.  Space is available for primitive camping or trailers (no hookups).

            Motels: Exit 185 and turn north - Days Inn, Cannonsburg, KY, 606-928-3600; Hampton Inn, Cannonsburg, KY 606-928-2888.  Or bring a sleeping bag and cot and stay in range clubhouse.
