Visiting Smith Mountain Lake

Here is a view from down near the dock in the summer of 2004.

In 2005, both Carrie and Andy kneeboarded for the first time.
Carrie is only 3 and Andy is 6.


Looking down at the dining table from the loft. Before the addition was built, this was actually the living room where we had two couches and a TV. After the living room addition was completed, we lived like this for a while until the kitchen renovation of 2004-2005.	This is what the kitchen looks like now, after the renovation was completed in the summer of 2005. Grandma and Grandpa designed this room themselves. We think they did an awesome job.

Living room The door on the right goes out to the deck.	Now it is possible for more than one person to work in the kitchen at a time! Look at all the space!
The loft bedroom. There is a third bed in here that you can't see. This is the kids' favorite room to sleep.	The view from the loft bedroom doorway. This was before the renovation, as you can see all the 1970's paneling and dark trim.

The cousins all have a great time at the lake. Bobby, Andy, Carrie, Jacob, Steven and Billy. Ages 10, 6, 3, 4, 7 and 9.	In the winter at Christmastime. Grandpa sets up the tree in the sunroom overlooking the lake. You can see our dog Satch looking at the view.

Billy loves riding with his Bedford grandparents on their jet ski.	Eddie gets some good air on the kneeboard.
Jeanne likes to go for open water swims in the afternoon. Here she is showing off her (rare) good diving form.	At age 9, Billy is already a pro at kneeboarding. Maybe he'll be catching air by 2006.
