Jeanne is a trained classical pianist who has been performing in public since the age of 7.  She received her early training in Ohio, studying with Lucy Chu of Columbus and Barbara Wasson of Dayton.  Upon moving to the Washington, D.C. area, she continued her studies in high school with Suzanne Guy.

Upon graduating from high school, Jeanne made a surprising decision when she turned down a scholarship to the Eastman School of Music.  She chose to attend Virginia Tech on full scholarship, studying with Mary Louise Hallauer.  She received her B.A. in Piano Performance from Virginia Tech in 1991, and went on to earn a Master of Elementary Education degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, in 1992.

Jeanne made her orchestral debut with the Cincinnati Symphony at the age of 12.  She has also appeared as soloist with the Columbus Symphony, Northern Virginia Symphony and New River Valley Symphony Orchestras.  She has given several solo recitals, where she also performed on the flute and string bass.  She has appeared in joint recital with her sister, Karen, on several occasions.

Jeanne has worked as a music teacher for Bedford County (Virginia) Schools and is currently the music minister at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Bedford.  Upon taking this current position in 2000, she discovered that she could sing.  Jeanne performs as a soprano for church services, weddings, funerals and other special occasions.  She performs the United States national anthem at local trail races in which she participates as a runner.  Jeanne is married and a proud mother of three.
