Fisher Residence
Barto, Pennsylvania

Nearing completion this project involved a series of additions to a 1816 farmhouse, the new construction of a potting shed and barn, and the reconstruction of a collapsed stone barn into a pool house.

An addition to the west extends down a slight grade orienting itself towards the western branch of the Perkiomen Creek.  A kitchen on the first floor and study above recedes to allow the original structure to dominate.  The focal point of the kitchen is a stone pizza oven seen here from the outside.

Another addition to the south gestures to a large sloping meadow.  This wing contains a family room on the first floor and a master bedroom suite above.

Here the two wings come together.  A terrace nestled between serves as an extension to the kitchen and family room.

Trailing the other structures is the pool house.  Reconstructed from a collapsed barn it will serve as a spa, a pool house and a guest cottage.

The potting shed shown here along with the barn and pool house form a garden court.

Stay tuned for more pictures as the homestead reaches completion.
