Purpose of the Club
Riding lessons suffer from one serious drawback...
They usually only address the individual horse, and the individual rider at the time of the lesson. This group
was started to get riders thinking about the broader context of riding theory, the core elements and cornerstone theories
that are often obscured by the "here and now" nature of a riding lesson.
Finding the Books
The Amazon Store is where the book list is maintained. There are pages for the current book (the one being read for the next meeting)
Books in the Near Future (Books we are going to read soon so you can order several books at a time) and Past Books, (ones
the club has read, but newcomers should try and read so they will be caught up) as well as other great books on many topics.
Browse and enjoy.
At the bottom of the page is an Amazon search box, where you can buy anything Amazon sells!
I have also created a page of advice on buying used and out of print books online. You can find it here Finding Books Online

Joining the club
Dues are $40 and cover the calander year (January-December 2008). Using this convenient button gives 3% (about
$1) to Pay-Pal, giving me a check in person or by mail means all the money goes to the club.
"Horsebookclub" is our private, dedicated list for announcements pertaining to meeting times, and continued discussion
between meetings. If you would like, then once you are a member of Read, Ride, Reflect, use the purple yahoo groups button
or box below to subscribe to the list.
