Why should I subscribe?
Keep in mind that most emergencies occur without warning!
Your paid subscription will assure that Goodwill Ambulance will be there – when you need us!
Your paid subscription can also save you money
by avoiding any unnecessary fees if you ever need to use any of Goodwill’s emergency services.
Your paid subscription permits us to:
§ Staff our 2 Basic Life Support ambulances with highly skilled and well-trained personnel.
§ Purchase and maintain life-saving emergency medical equipment
§ Be prepared to promptly respond to your call at a moment’s notice – 24 hours a day.
What does my subscription include?
Your paid subscription entitles you and your family
to unlimited emergency treatment and ambulance transportation to the following hospitals:
§ Lock Haven Hospital
§ Jersey Shore
hospital
§ Mt. Nittany
Medical Center
Your subscription also provides you with limited non-emergency,
medically necessary, ambulance transportation.
Medically necessary limitations are based on criteria
established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, as well as the availability of staff and vehicles.
Certain non-emergency services which may not be covered
include transports of ambulatory (capable of walking) patients, who do not typically require medical treatment during transport.
Some examples include, but are not limited to, direct admission from home to hospital; transportation home from hospital (even
though an ambulance took the patient to a hospital for an emergency); and visits to a doctor’s office. As these types
of non-emergency transports are not typically covered by your insurance carrier, you may be charged a service fee.
Does my insurance
cover ambulance service?
Contrary to popular belief, not all insurance companies
will pay for 100% of the ambulance costs. Many insurance companies today require co-payments and deductible amounts which
far exceed the cost of a subscription.
Your paid subscription will cover co-payments and deductibles
which are not paid by your insurance company for emergency ambulance service provided by Goodwill Ambulance.
