Junior First Lego League
The Junior First Lego League is a pilot program in the US and Canada run in conjunction with the First Lego League (FLL) program. JFLL is for young budding scientists ages 6-9 years old and introduces the core concepts of all FIRST programs to inspire, excite, and introduce children to the wonders of science, technology, and engineering. JFLL utilizes a modified framework of the FIRST Lego League robotics games and project research presentations. Teams of up to 5 children and an adult mentor receive a mini challenge, based on the FLL annual research project and design a model depicting an aspect of the year’s challenge. In 2005 that challenge was “Ocean Odyssey”.
