JFLL 2005 - The Glowing Lego Fish
This was the first year our group did the Junior First Lego League (JFLL) challenge. The 2005 theme, Ocean Odyssey, asked the students to design a fish, animal or plant that has not yet been discovered in the oceans. The teams was made up of three 3 students from Easton's Moreau Hall Elementary School and the team name was The Glowing Lego Fish.
The team met once a week in October and November and participated in the New Hampshire JFLL/FLL tournament in Nashua on December 3. During our practice time we did a lot of brainstorming and also visited the New England Aquarium to get ideas on what types of plants and animals live in our vast oceans. At the tournament we saw lots of creative ideas and talked with other teams about their creations. The Lego Glowing Fish also had lots of opportunities to tell others about the Leaf Fish and Sea Berries. The team had a great time at the tournament and did very well, earning the honor of team showing the Best Teamwork! You guys did a great job!
