Our program serves 700⁺ students, starting in PreK/Kindergarten. Catechists generously and faithfully teach the basic principles and history of the Catholic Church, and prepare the children for the sacraments of

* First Eucharist & Reconciliation (grade 2 and older)

* Confirmation (grade 8 and older)

* Baptism, Eucharist & Confirmation (age 7+, through RCIA Adapted for Children)

All parish children not attending Transfiguration Academy or another Catholic school should be enrolled in Religious Education.

While parents have the primary and sacred responsibility of educating their children in their Catholic faith, our program assists them by providing formal religious training. We present them with knowledge of the fundamental truths of the Church, and help lead them to the realization that Catholic Christian living is their response to God’s love. This knowledge and realization should be witnessed in their own daily living, at home and through weekly Mass attendance.
